Puppy FAQs
-
Our English Lab puppies do not leave until they are at least 8 weeks old. This ensures that the puppies have had adequate time with their mother and littermates to learn important social and behavioral skills, as well as receive essential nutrition and care. It also helps to ensure the puppies are in good health and are developmentally ready to transition to their new homes.
-
We have prioritized the health of our breeding dogs for generations, through regular veterinary care, OFA certifications for hips, elbows, eyes, and hearts, genetic testing for EIC, PRA, CNM, HNPK, Cystinuria, and responsible breeding practices. All of our puppies have an extensive veterinary exam at 7 weeks and are up-to-date vaccinations and worming protocols prior to leaving us.

We recommend spaying/neutering at 18-24 months.
Allowing a pet to mature before spaying or neutering can be beneficial because it promotes
• Better physical development, especially in larger breeds.
• Natural hormone development, which can positively affect health and behavior.
• Potential reduction in certain behavioral issues.
• Lower risk of specific health problems, depending on the individual and breed.
• Personalized timing based on the pet's unique needs and circumstances.
However, we can discuss individual circumstances.
